OMEG PRODUCTS

This page provides an overview of the product range that Omeg can offer to you. The range includes rotary potentiometers that are not switched; potentiometers that have an integral switch module; servo potentiometers that offer more precision and longer life cycles; potentiometer accessories, including knobs and LEDs; and a range of switches previously made by Castelco (GB) Limited.
We also welcome enquiries for a range of Rotary Encoders that have transparent spindles and knobs for LED illumination.

POTENTIOMETERS

Commercial quality rotary potentiometers are divided into two nominal sizes (16mm and 20mm) and three product groups - the ECO all plastic potentiometer and the P16 and P20 metal case potentiometers.

ECO potentiometer (PC16ECO) Unique features of the ECO potentiometer product group include:
  • IP50 rated plastic bush housing with optional metal bracket
  • 0.25W power dissipation
  • 17mm nominal size

  • Multi-gang and Concentric configurations are available

Rotary Switch Potentiometer (certified)

The Rotary Switch module is Certified by UL International Demko A/S to EN61058-1 and is available on either the ECO, P16 or P20 potentiometers. NOTE This is a European and NOT an American certification.

Rotary Switch with ECO potentiometer (XA16ECO/B4PC1S) Unique features of the Rotary Switch with ECO potentiometer include:
  • 0.25W 16mm potentiometer with plastic bush housing
  • 1A or 4A switch contact
  • A choice of rotary switch configurations

Horizontally Mounted Switch (Spindle Axis Parallel to PCB)

ECO/IL Switch (PC16ECO/PC1S) The ECO/IL switch potentiometer features include:
  • Contact rating 1A 24V DC; 1A 250V AC Resistive Load
  • Mounted on the ECO plastic bush housing

HA Series Switch Potentiometer The H Series switch potentiometer features include:
  • The upgraded switch replacement for the ECO/IL and Thin Profile 'IL' switch modules
  • 1A or 4A switch contacts for ECO and P20 potentiometers
  • Spindle axis height and terminal footprint configurations comply with established market standards
  • The design is based on the rotary switch module Certified by UL International Demko A/S

Thin Profile (IL) Switch animation The Thin Profile switch potentiometer (Radiohm IL equivalent) features include:
  • Contact rating 1A 24V DC; 1A 250V AC Resistive Load
  • Mounted on a P16 or P20 metal can potentiometer
  • Available with or without a fixing Bush or Bracket

Momentary Switch Potentiometer

Momentary switch (XA16ECO/MS) Unique features of the Momentary Switch with ECO potentiometer include:
  • SPST - NO snap action, momentary sealed construction
  • Contact rating: 5 to 24VDC, 1 to 50 mA resistive load
  • Life: 1,000,000 operations

ROTARY ENCODERS

E12 Rotary encoder - vertical, orange The features of the E12 rotary encoders include:
  • Incremental digital 24-pulse encoder rated 5Vdc 0.5mA
  • Transparent spindles and knobs that have LED illumination
  • A choice of horizontal or vertical PCB mounting
  • A choice of with or without 24 detents (or rotational 'clicks')
  • Optional momentary action switch rated 5Vdc 10mA

SERVO POTENTIOMETERS

Superior quality servo potentiometers (or Angular Feedback Position Sensors) are a precision potentiometer made to give a longer life using a flush bonded conductive track and a nickel silver wiper to provide low contact resistance, they are available in three sizes.

CP11 Servo potentiometer Common features for the servo potentiometer include:
  • 10 x 106 life cycles
  • Fully machined metal body
  • Standard mounting by servo clamp
Optional features for the servo potentiometer include:
  • Mounting by bush and locknut
  • Hole fixing on the front face (2 holes for CP11 and 3 holes for CP18 and CP20)
  • A centre tap is available to special order
